The newly open restaurant Luca, in London’s Clerkenwell district, combines fresh produce from around the British Isles prepared in a traditional Italian way. It is described as “British seasonal ingredients through an Italian lens” – or “Britailian” for short.
Luca offers a large selection of pasta alongside cured meats, cheeses and antipasti. Mains such as Rump of Hereford beef (£24), Cornish lamb chops (£24), and Cornish monkfish (£24) are also on the menu.
The new restaurant is led by chef-owner Isaac McHale along with head chef Robert Chambers, who has been head chef at a number of top London restaurants. It is open at 88 St John Street, EC1.
