ArcelorMittal Orbit slide

Dare you descend the world’s tallest, longest, fastest tunnel slide?

The ArcelorMittal Orbit slide allows visitors to zoom down from the top of the 76-metre red tower at the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The ArcelorMittal Orbit tower, designed by Sir Anish Kapoor, is billed as the the UK’s tallest artwork.

Those taking the slide will pass through light and dark sections with London’s dramatic landmarks whizzing by as you descend the 178m slide at 25km per hour, with the ride lasting about 40 seconds.

Situated next to the Olympic Stadium, the ArcelorMittal Orbit is a testament to the legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Even if you don’t fancy the speedy descent, the structure still provides stunning views over the Olympic Village and London’s skyscapers.

A combined entry ticket for the ArcelorMittal Orbit tower and the slide costs £15 for adults and £10 for children under 17. More information here.
