Le Gavroche


Le Gavroche offers classical French food, sometimes with a modern twist, in the heart of Mayfair. It was established in 1967 at a different site and is currently run by chef Michel Roux Jr. It was the first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two and three Michelin stars, and currently holds two. Dishes include cheese soufflé baked on double cream, grilled scallops with clam minestrone and Cumbrian Rose veal; the tasting menu with wine will set you back £200. It’s a formal place, with male diners required to wear a jacket, and perfect for a business lunch or romantic dinner. It does not offer any halal meat but vegetarian options are available.
