Visitors to Nobu in Dubai will know what to expect from this London restaurant: delicious Japanese fusion food, amazing décor, and hefty menu prices. One of two London branches, Nobu Berkeley Street spans two floors and has hosted some of London’s most high-profile parties. It is open for lunch and dinner – with the bar licensed until 2am – but do book early on weekends. No visit is complete without sampling the Black Cod New York Style (£22); other dinner items can be pricy, such as the Lobster Tempura (£45) and Wagyu Toban Yaki steak (£48). It serves Bento Boxes – with miso soup, sushi, rock shrimp tempura and other treats – at lunchtime. Despite its fame and prestigious standing on the restaurant scene, Nobu Berkeley Street lost its Michelin star in September 2014, as did its sister branch at the Metropolitan Hotel.
